Shunde Teachers in the UK

　　From 2001 to 2003, more than 150 Chinese teachers of English from Shunde, divided into three groups annually were sent to take a 3-month-training course in Hastings,Cambridge, Cheltenham, Brighton and Bath in the UK. There they successfully completed a programme of current teaching methodology, aspects of British history, life and culture, and advanced language work, particularly listening and speaking.

　　During their stay, they gave presentations in English, observed lessons given by teachers on the adult and junior summer schools, visited a number of secondary schools and took part in an extensive programme of cultural and tourist excursions.
